IEQ Prerequisite 1: Minimum IAQ Performance Product may assist a project to meet minimum indoor air quality (IAQ) performance requirements in accordance to the nominated standard for Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality. The following standard areas must be met for this prerequisite credit;
Case 1 Mechanically Ventilate Spaces: mechanically ventilated buildings must comply with the nominated standard and existing building outside-air (OA) ventilation distribution systems must be modified or maintained to supply at least the outdoor air ventilation rate required by the nominated standard.
Case 2 Naturally Ventilated Projects: naturally ventilated buildings must comply with the nominated standard and existing building outside-air (OA) ventilation distribution systems must be modified or maintained to supply at least the outdoor air ventilation rate required by the nominated standard.

IEQ Credit 2: Increased Ventilation Product may assist in a project obtaining this credit for increasing outdoor air ventilation. To achieve credit point mechanically ventilated spaces must increase breathing zone outdoor air ventilation rates to all occupied spaces by at least 30% above the minimum rates required by the nominated standard as determined by IEQ Prerequisite 1. Naturally ventilated spaces must be designed to the credit prescribed requirements.

IEQ Credit 4.4: Low Emitting Materials, Composite Wood and Laminate Adhesives Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining this credit as it contains no added urea-formaldehyde. This credit applies to composite wood and agrifiber products as well as laminating adhesives. Composite wood and agrifiber products are defined as particle board, MDF, plywood, wheatboard, strawboard, panel substrates and door cores, excluded materials include – fixtures, furniture and equipment.

IEQ Credit 4.4 Note 1: Low Emitting Materials, Composite Wood and Laminate Adhesives Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining this credit as it contains no added urea-formaldehyde. This credit applies to composite wood and agrifiber products as well as laminating adhesives. Composite wood and agrifiber products are defined as particle board, MDF, plywood, wheatboard, strawboard, panel substrates and door cores, excluded materials include – fixtures, furniture and equipment.
This product may assist a project in obtaining this credit as it provides an alternative to composite wood products.
