Advanced sub-surface irrigation system with improved uniformity of application and reduced losses to surface evaporation and ground water by distributing water through a geotextile fabric.

Product Description:

The KISSS system consists of an impermeable base layer and one or more geotextile layers that distribute water subsoil from a drip line with self cleaning internal drippers.  The geotextile fabric ensures even application, prevents tunnelling by discharge from drip line emitters, and eliminates puddles or surface runoff.  The system is installed subsurface to deliver water directly to the targeted root-zone.  Water is spread throughout the soil by capillary action and released at the absorption rate of the soil.  This allows the system to apply water at a much lower discharge rate than other irrigation systems, and saves energy consumption of pumping and water transport.  The KISSS system also reduces aerosols and surface puddling that can expose humans and animals to pathogens, when using recycled water for irrigation.

The KISSS system offers a Green Roof Mat, for use in roof top gardens and vegetated roof tops.  The system performs well in the coarse soil used in vegetated roof tops, and can enhance drainage due to capillary action.

Other KISSS products are designed for the nursery industry, sports field irrigation, residential, and commercial landscaping, using mains or tank water and grey or recycled wastewater.
