ecospecifier.ae is an on-line database and educational knowledgebase of eco and health-preferable building materials and technologies that provides information on how to design and deliver buildings, interiors and surrounds using environmentally preferable products available in UAE.  

The service is designed to serve professionals in the building and design industry, purchasing & procurement officers, facility managers, education providers, and home owners who want to easily source environmentally responsible materials and back up their decisions for those purchases and specifications.

What is an Enhanced Content Green [ECG] UAE Listing?

FEATURES: A fully detailed  Enhanced Content Green building rating scheme [ECG] listing LEED (and later other schemes) Pre-assessment for all relevant credits Lead Enquiry form on each product page on a Branded Ecospecifier template so you know to give the enquiry a high priority as an eco-qualified lead Use of ecospecifier logo & artwork on your promotional materials, website and/or products Plus the following features: Combination of pictures/graphics & logo (up to 4 images) Download of 1 Document up to 1MB brochure, MSDS, etc. if desired Inclusion in home page 'Feature Products' article for one quarter, and a bold inclusion in home page section for 'Recently Added Products' for one quarter    If you would like to submit your product for an Enhanced Content Plus listing, please read the Listing Process (below) and contact research1@ecospecifier.org Cost:  AED 7200.00 (20% volume purchase rate available if submitting 5 or more products)

ecospecifier offers as standard practice a 20% discount on all renewing paid listings. The 20% discount will be based on the price of the service at the time of renewal and not on the amount originally paid at the time of purchase. (this  also  includes product listing purchased on volume discount).

    
 

The Listing Process

There are only 3 steps that must be completed for a product application to be made:

1. Tell us which Product/s you would like listed ecospecifier will undertake an Initial Assessment and issue a Preliminary Approval advice if the product is approved for listing. ecospecifier will also send by email a  Proforma Invoice as a quotation along with separate Product Declaration and Terms and Conditions for signature and the Product Questionnaire for completion.

2: Complete the product questionnaire Here is a quick overview of the information we will require, which the questionnaire will prompt you to provide: Materials Safety Data Sheet/s (MSDS) Product constituents (including environmentally preferred content) Durability and capacity for maintenance and disassembly Recycling, reuse or refurbishment potential Resource use in manufacture (water, materials, energy) Emissions released in manufacture and use Environmental impact of manufacture Packaging and transport requirements Environmental Management Systems or ISO 14001 Product stewardship (including takeback, extended warranties etc).

3: Submit completed questionnaire & supporting documents with payment: Supporting documents include: - Signed 'Manufacturer Declaration' and 'Terms and Conditions' documents (sign digitally and email or print & sign and fax to +617 3399 9294, or post to us at PO Box 311, Cannon Hill QLD Australia 4170. - Please also provide (as a .pdf file) any promotional or technical documentation that you want to be made available by users directly from your Enhanced Content Listing on ecospecifier (eg: promotional brochure, technical specifications, colour choices, etc.) - Please provide your logo plus at least three product images for each individual product listing (300dpi resolution, JPEG file format preferred) - Supporting documents can also be emailed or posted on a CD/DVD (All questionnaires must be submitted as in original word format) - No work is commenced on any listing until funds are received in full unless otherwise agreed in writing by ecospecifier in advance.

Notes to the Listing Process

Any special introductory fees for ecospecifier.ae Manufacturer Services are only applicable for the first year.  A discounted fee on the renewal of the service may be available but will be based on the price of the service at the time of renewal.

Expedited Listings

An expedited listing premium of 30% is applied to the total amount if the listing is required within less than the normal 4-6 week assessment timeframe. Scope of expedited listings must be arranged prior to payment to ensure that our work program will permit the expedited order to be filled in the 2 week target window set for expedited listings.

An indicative review (Scan Assessment Stage) of the products likelihood of success of listing will be made following receipt of product application assessment questionnaire. If the product is accepted for detailed assessment, charges will apply (see Terms and Conditions).

If a product is rejected at ‘Preliminary’ assessment stage, fees will be refunded in full.
